Terms and conditions of sale

Title to the goods shall not pass to the purchaser until payment in full has been received. Payment terms for account customers and service contract customers are 30 days from receipt of invoice, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
 
The Seller will not be responsible for any loss of earnings or profit, or any other losses resulting from the use or misuse of the equipment.
 
Where any computer software is used with the equipment, the Seller will not be responsible for any errors that may subsequently cause the Purchaser any financial loss. It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to fully check the detail on any printer label formats.
 
The Guarantee only covers usage of the equipment as recommended by the Seller and mishandling or damage by accident or otherwise in any way are not covered. Please note that rechargeable batteries fitted to scales are considered a consumable item and as such are only covered for a period of two months from initial purchase date.
 
Goods hired out will be charged excess to the hiring charge if the aforesaid goods are damaged by mishandling, misuse, accident or otherwise in any way during the period of hire or whilst in transit by the hirer.
 

 

If the Purchaser cancels any Purchase Order or part thereof he shall be liable to the seller for the payment of cancellation charges as follows: Over 90 days 15%, 61-90 days 25% and 0-60 days 40%, these charges being a percentage of the quoted price.
 
All goods are quoted ex-works unless otherwise stated. The Seller cannot accept responsibility for damage caused during offloading howsoever caused.
 
The Seller must be notified of any shortages, damages or loss of goods within four days of receipt of invoice.
 
Taking delivery of the goods, parts or services thereof either by the purchaser or their representative shall imply acceptance by the purchaser of the above conditions of sale.
 
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations (2006 - WEEE).
The purchaser shall be responsible for the costs of collection, treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal of the product and replaced product in accordance with the regulations. The Purchaser shall not dispose of the product or the replaced product other than in accordance with the regulations. The Purchaser agrees to indemnify and keep indemnified the Seller from and against any and all loss, damage or liability (whether criminal or civil) suffered and legal fees and costs incurred by the Seller resulting from a breach of this clause.
